These drawings are portraits of nameless people extracted from yesterday’s news - they are victims of tragedy and loss. Each image is carefully constructed in stitch to create a series of ‘fractured portraits’. The jagged stitched lines float in a void of white linen or appear as torn fabric remnants on the gallery wall. The portraits are defiant reminders of the human capacity to endure.
