This body of work was made between 1998 and 2004. These works combine abandoned objects with mainly textile materials. Each fabrication forms a new object that transcends the function and meaning of the original. In these works I draw attention to the potentiality of artistic intervention to bring new meaning to that which has been discarded and forgotten. Each sculpture is a haunting reminder of the temporality and vulnerability of human existence.
